We paddled it last year when it was flowing at 17m3/s and other than on ledge and a few tight corners it was nothing more than a Class I.

This year however at 30m3/s it was like being in a waterslide with the water piling up on the walls with good standing waves.  Some wave trains between features had waves high enough to come over the bows of the open canoes.  The eddy lines were strong and the water pushy.

We left one canoe in the bush after a couple of paddlers flipped twice and were too cold to continue so they rode in other canoes.  We passed a white canoe that looked as though it had been wrapped.  It was caught in the willows.  At this flow there is few spots to get off the river as the water is flowing through the willows and trees.  A few sweepers, but were able to get around them in this flow.
